Julietta in Ostrava balances on the edge of a dream and the reality

(...) on stage Kateřina Kněžíková employed her natural attractiveness and a great acting talent. Her character went through a remarkable development as a rather naive girl turned into a cynical self-confident and tough tigress. (...)

Martinů's Julietta charmed Ostrava

(...) after roles in Smetana's and Dvořák's operas Kateřina Kněžíková matured and grew into a beautiful and strong woman far from an impressionistic fragile fairy. Her Julietta features more of Salome than Mélisande and Julietta’s disdainful rejection of Michel as a stuffed crocodile hurts all men in the audience and can only end in a gunshot. (...)

Dvořákova Praha, International Music Festival: A bit of horror excitement to start with

(...) What I've always liked about Kateřina Kněžíková is her natural, functional and unaffected performance, which is honest and technically brilliant at the same time. She sensitively interpreted the part of a young naive girl (...)

Praguers understand Domingo

(...) The fact that three Czech singers performed in the production is pleasing even more. Kateřina Kněžíková as Donna Elvira stormed onto the stage and by means of her extremely dramatic singing and acting created one of the most striking characters of the evening (...)

Combining uncombinable. Prague Philharmonia with Hrůša, Kahánek and Kněžíková

(...) Within the final part of the program, singing the famous aria composed for Josefina Dušková Bella mia fiamma, addio, Kateřina Kněžíková showed again her full and lyrical timbre. It wasn't a performance full of dramatic expression changes, but it sounded noble, soft and stylish. (...)

Triumph of chamber music at Dvořákova Praha International Music Festival

(...) Remarkably stylish yet sounding novel, the composition premiered tonight. For Kateřina Kněžíková, who had previously performed mostly Mozart and Bel canto repertoire, this was also the first time she made her appearance to sing Mahler's songs (with the exception of The Heavenly Life integrated into the Symphony no 4 she had already sung in Germany). She took on the task magnificently. She pronounced clearly, emphasized the lyrics and employed beautifully refined agogics. Although considering purely vocal point of view she remained at the bottom of her usual vocal register, she was convincing every single moment. She gave the songs unmistakable spontaneity and genuineness. Singing Praise of Lofty Intellect she added a grotesque exaggeration and sang the long calm song Where the Fair Trumpets Sound with true sincerity. (...)

(...) Kateřina Kněžíková sang the soprano solo in a captivating manner yet fully focused. She shaped the each phrase with a supple voice elasticity avoiding overexposed dynamics in high-pitched parts. Oh Death, where is your Victory? St. Wenceslas Music Festival started in Ostrava

(...) To come after forty minutes have passed to stand with a complete orchestra and mixed choir behind one's back and perform the intonation-sensitive piece Ihr habt nun Traurigkeit, the only soprano solo within Brahms's score, is a difficult task, euphemistically speaking. Kateřina Kněžíková rose to the challenge magnificently and succeeded in bringing Slavic warmth of her voice to the contrasting fifth movement after the chorus fourth movement Wie lieblich sind Deine Wohnungen, which is the centre line of the whole work. (...)
